Digital cameras streamline the image
creation process and enhance the results by letting us immediately view an
image and reshoot until it is perfect, then import the digital files into
a computer for immediate use. We also use flatbed and film scanners to
convert existing images into digital files.
Image retouching and enhancement in
programs such as Adobe Photoshop can correct almost any problem in a
photograph — poor color, distracting background, unwanted
elements, excessively dark or light areas, dust and scratches, etc. We can also add elements, convert color
images to black and white, apply special effects... you name it!
